I have been using this phone for the last 1 month and completely satisfied with the camera, performance and UI. However, I was neutral with the battery as the battery backup wasn't consistent in the beginning. I tried certain settings and now I'm getting 5hrs of SOT using phone from 85% to 20% at 120Hz refresh rate ( I pause my charging at 85 percent, never charged to 100 ) .

Settings used:

1) Remove Data usage access of almost all the apps. Even if you disable the access, you'll still get seamless experience for most of the apps.

2) Try using the phone in dark mode. Since the display is Amoled, it only need to light limited pixels when using at dark mode.

3) Use deep sleeping, sleeping limits on battery settings to limit apps to run in the background. This will save a lot of battery.

4) Certain apps are not optimised and are very power hungry. Noted this on Instagram. Reducing the usage on it can save battery and your time. Win-Win!

5) Update the OS apps and play store apps regularly as certain bugs could result in power drain.

6) Never over-drain or over-charge the phone as it can reduce the number of battery cycles. Optimal charging is 20% to 85%.

7) Use always on display to 'On touch'

These settings may limit the experience you get from the phone. But, if you are a person whose priority is battery, then you could follow these tips for the same.

If any one have other tips regarding saving power, please do share on comment box.

You cannot technically over charge modern smartphone batteries. Other steps are cool and I too follow them, except for 4 and selected apps only on 1.

Actually what did you mean by 1? Permission to files and media, right?

App timers and screen time won't work. Focus mode, Bedtime mode, volume monitor will work
