Galaxy S1. Clear the System Cache Partition
This is the most recommended fix after a major update. It removes old, temporary files that might be causing software conflicts without deleting your personal data.
Turn off your device. Connect it to a computer via USB-C (this is required for modern Samsung devices to enter recovery mode). Press and hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears. Use the volume buttons to navigate to "Wipe cache partition" and press the Power button to select. Confirm "Yes," then select "Reboot system now." 2. Reset Battery Stats (Calibration)
If the battery percentage seems to drop erratically, resetting the stats can help recalibrate the system.
Open the Samsung Phone app (Dialer). Dial *#9900#. Scroll down and tap "BatteryStats Reset." Restart your phone.
Note: You may need to disable "Auto Blocker" in Settings > Security and privacy to allow this dialer code to work.
3. Check for App Incompatibility
Apps often need their own updates to work efficiently with Android 16.
Galaxy Store: Open the Galaxy Store > Menu > Updates > Update All. Google Play Store: Open Play Store > Tap Profile Icon > Manage apps & device > Updates available > Update All. Check Settings > Battery > View Details to see if a specific app is showing unusually high background usage. 4. Wait for the "Learning" Phase
Major updates reset the "Learning usage patterns" algorithm. It typically takes 3 to 7 days for the system to re-optimize itself based on your habits. During this time, the "Adaptive Battery" feature is retraining itself.

Galaxy SThank you for reaching out. If your battery backup has declined after the update, please try the following steps:
- Check Battery Usage: Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Battery usage to identify apps that may be draining the battery.
- Update Apps: Ensure all apps are updated via the Google Play Store or Galaxy Store.
- Optimize Battery Settings: Turn on Power Saving Mode in Settings > Battery.
Turn Off Unnecessary Features: Disable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Location Services when not in use. - Soft Reset: Hold Power + Volume Down for 10 seconds to restart the device.
If the issue continues, we recommend visiting a Samsung Service Center for further support:
