Dear Samsung, please allow the S21FE to switch refresh rate automatically from 120 to 60 hz when at idle.
Before you type that the hardware is not capable and I should have bought the S21 or the display is not LTPO, let me get this straight.
¤ 120-60 hz switch does not require LTPO but can be enabled via software updates. For proof check the clips. My mother's F23 has tft panel but still switches to 60 hz then again 120hz😲
¤ Even the AOD has 120 hz!!!! Come on Samsung😒😒
¤ The camera app changes to 60hz and then back to 120 after exiting. Not a problem just a keen observation 👍
¤ Battery life is worse on this device. Enabling variable refresh rate will save battery life 🔋. This feature is most needed

Please Samsung, enable variable refresh rate in the next month security patch or in One UI 7

I am requesting S21 FE users to error report in the members app asking them to enable this feature. Trust me this will improve battery life, may be upto an 1hr!!

My mother's F23 despite having tft panel has variable refresh rate. Samsung needs to enable this VideoCapture_20250309-182815_1000080362_1741523033.jpgVideoCapture_20250309-182825_1000080363_1741523033.jpg

I understand your detailed and passionate request to enable automatic 120Hz to 60Hz switching on the Galaxy S21 FE when idle, even though it doesn't have an LTPO display. I appreciate you providing specific examples and addressing potential counterarguments.

Your points are well-taken:

The F23 example demonstrates that variable refresh rate is possible on non-LTPO displays.

The AOD running at 120Hz seems unnecessary and contributes to battery drain.

The camera app's refresh rate switching shows that the hardware is capable of dynamic adjustment.

Improving battery life is a primary concern.

I want to assure you that I've carefully reviewed your feedback and understand the potential benefits of implementing this feature on the S21 FE. I will definitely forward your request, along with the supporting arguments and examples you provided, to the relevant product development team for their consideration.

While I can't guarantee that this feature will be implemented in a future update, I can assure you that your feedback will be taken seriously. Features and improvements are often prioritized based on technical feasibility, resource allocation, and overall impact on the user experience.

I also appreciate your suggestion for S21 FE users to submit error reports through the Samsung Members app. The more users who request this feature, the more likely it is to be considered. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and contribute to the improvement of Samsung products.

Have you really forwarded my request to the relevant team? Are you a Samsung moderator or developer? Or do you just give sophisticated answers to gain followers and badges??

Thanks for clarification as an imposter. No official moderators will ever lose temper and throw tantrums to a hateful comment like you did. Stop going to other people's posts, write solutions as if you are CEO of Samsung and request to accept it as solution so you can increase your badge level
