Hi,
When 5G becomes normal, what will we do with our existing S series phones?
How long do you think it will take for 5G to become completely functional?

Will Samsung then offer a reasonable price with exchange of our existing S series phones?

frist of all the 5g isn't easy to implement in all over India approx 2022 we can say that full functional 5g would come

and about replacing the device the price of that time couldn't be said at this time but you will got approx 10k

Bro, it will take one more year(by year end or early 2022)..,

And second important part will be the actual difference in speed between 4g and 5g(real world scenarios)

Seeing, trends of exchange price of samsung devices in the past, won't think will get great exchange price after 1 or 2 years.

But all of a sudden 5g itna bhi impact nahi daalega humare day to day life me

Dont worry, when 5G is fully functional in india , your device will be useless. That means 5G may be fully functional accross whole india after two to three years. Yes you are going to reply Jio is starting it this year in Q2. But if they start now, only it will take hell lot of time to cover whole india. I would say 5G wont be big worry for now. You see many manufacturers selling 5G enabled phones since last year. Mainly lets take the case of Oneplus, they have been calling 5G again and again, but sadly indian variants is only having one single 5G band, and its not even tested. One band is not enough for 5G to work properly. So nothing to regret or sed, that other manufacturers have 5G.
Next question is, resale value. Smartphones are a depreciating asset, you wont get a good good value after selling two to three year old device, whatever brand it be

On my personal point of view 4G in India is totally lagging as compared to the global standards where average 4G speed is around 45Mb/s whereas in india we are hardly getting 15Mb/s.
Even if 5G is launched it would be a gimmick to sell more phones as it is currently going. where Chinese manufacturers are selling 5G phones where there is no timeline of its release plus the 5G bands are still unknown!

Well, I doubt 2022.. In India 4g services took about 4-5 years to get stable. Vodafone still lacks in complete 4g coverage. I believe it'll take 4-5 years for 5g to be running fine in India. It'll also depend on service providers if they would like to continue giving 4g or get rid of it completely just like they got rid of 3g.
