Well phones like motorola gives 144 hz refresh rate for a sub 20 k phone. Galaxy S series outclass other phones in all parameters but when it comes to refresh rate they are stuck at 120 hz. I fail to understand why thier flagship phone latest 23 ultra atleast can't have a refresh rate of 165 hz or atleast 144 hz. This adds to feather of most Premium phone.

This can be done by software update or does it require a factory set, I don't know. But whatever it takes they should put atleast 144 hz immidately on s23 ultra. This can be done during their beta program

What do you say samsung please answer

Refresh rate is something that requires dedicated hardware support. You can't increase Refresh rate by software updates. Doing so will damage the screen.

For 144hz or 165hz, S23 Ultra needs to have a display that has those Refresh rate supported from the display hardware side...

120hz is fine for now. There are other factors need to be concerned with high refresh rate displays- like more battery consumption, more heat.

All these phones have Samsung screens. It is not believable that best screen of them all s23 ultra dosent have hardware support. It comes auto built-in. Yes tweaking may be required. Samsung does that to optimise performance as it did it with throttling and ultimately issued lab support tab. This can be done on similar grounds for refresh rate

Availability is the question. People use according to their choice. So battery drain or other factors doesn't come to play as it is the choice. It will help lot if gamers on s23 ultra and also give a hit to game phone sales who go purely seeing refresh rate

Why do you require 144 hz or 165 hz refresh rate 🤔 many apps don't support it and there is hardly any difference. Also Samsung phones give poor battery backup and this will only kill it faster

Basically marketing gimmick (not saying it's completely useless) but according to current industry standards as well as customer's pov 120hz is ideal considering wide variety of supported apps as well as power consumption.

Nope ask gamers and some of applicaions where it makes the difference. When they can have special game apps this becomes necessity
For Normal user it doesn't matter. Why cant we have the best to make it complete phone that is the question samsung should answer

I agree with your point but samsung doesn't target gamers especially or having history of making gaming phones. Samsung tends to propose all in one package in their flagship series.
