Why samsung is reducing the features of the premium phone?
The took out the ir sensor in s7 edge
Then the took the headset 3mm jack and heart rate sensor in note 10 plus ...now with note 20 ultra they dint even provide the basic case which they used to provide along with the phone . They increase the price but decrease the functions/accessories for the premium model such as note and s series ..moreover give all the functions and features equivalent to the note and s series to lower end models . So why must we buy the premium device any more ??? Even in service center before note series and s series used to have exclusive support..now they removed it . last time I went for service for my note 10 plus i have to wait in line along with other phone... I am thinking why to spend 1 lakh plus for premium phone . from next note series instead I will go for phone in range between 20 k to 30 k ..as I am going to get similar features amd support..why to spend much for premium? Even the colour is no more unique after 6 months of release of flagship they release the same colour for midrange phones too . Morover after 8 to 10 months you reduce the price of flagship price down so much .....so we can't even sell the phone even for half the price we bought even within 8 to 9 months even though the phone is in prime condition...cos you have reduced the price so soon as you are releasing the next model
Why do you do this ? Please change your mindset for premium users ...all I am asking is for ... give us more features or atleast give us the old unique premium feature such as inbuild heart rate sensor ,premium support etc ...or else even we will go for your midrange or in worst scenario other companies phone . Even pricing instead of keeping the starting price high and later reducing it ..sell the phone at the nominal price so the phone value stays same for atleast 2 years .
becoz there is some elite demand for this segment and Samsung knows it very well that those who wants to buy the premium device, they will buy it irrespective of the fact what is included in it or not..
There was good post by @akindia about same issue. Samsung will not change this strategy of reducing features now as they can sell more accessories. Big problem is people are buying their high cost less feature phones so they won't change.
To put it simply samsung doesn't care anymore ive been a note series user ever since the note 2 came out n now at note 8 and I seriously think the gap between what apple is offering and what samsung is offering is very thin at this point even the pricing so i think ill make a switch if not apple than there are better android options like pixel samsung customer service is being trashy
