today My Samsung galaxy note 8 not support external hard disk ?.
but sd card supported via usb.

use es file manager, it will ask to format, just cancel it and enter es explorer, I am doing the same with my s8.

even on mine ....I have used hard disk earlier on my note 8 but unable to do so now.

Hi mspareek,
Fellow Note 8 user here.
Your external harddisk might be not working due to its different storage format. External hdds are usually formatted as NTFS and they do not support with the phone in a plug n' play manner(atleast for me) unlike Micro SD cards which are formatted in Fat32. I suggest you reformat your drive into Fat32 (or exFat if you are also a mac user) and connect it to the phone using the otg connector that came with the phone. Good Luck!
