it uses Gorila 5 or 4 (mostly 5) glass. So if you're keeping too many things such as keys or coins or anything that can scratch the screen in your pocket then only you require screen protection or else no. I'm using it without any screen cover(for the first time in my life).

Keys and coins wouldn't scratch it, glass is harder than steel, but sand would.

coins and keys is not worry for me...I am worried about any accidental fall outs or may be a fall. because if the edge screen I am not incline in using a screen protector but am sceptical because I have used a protector in past on note 2 and note 5. but so far, on note 8 I am not using...

I'm using it without screen guard ever since i bought it that is from September. i pre booked Note 8.
