don't do that if u need regular updates ... root is for extra stuffs like overclocking cpu gpu n screen stuffs ... better use what u have

yes u will. I rooted my J5 (2015) and then flashed stock rom and I received FOTA update

yes.. i did it. I flashed official rom for j5. and i got update though the warranty became void for rooting. I'm still using my j5 with official rom with aug,2017 security patch
