encryption on samsung messages?

are samsung messages end to end encrypted? i use google messages for texts, but all my messages are still visible in samsung messages even though its not my default app.

google message is when only it's on RCS
your texts are encrypted not the meta data

but the messages i send on google messages, still show up on the samsung message app. so effectively even if i use rcs chat, my messages are not encrypted

i dont. i only use google messages. but when i open samsung messages, it has all my messages sent on google messages. idk how
