How can I copy a portion of the screen to "clipboard" directly (I.e clipping of an image , not text) ? "Smart select" saves the clipped screenshot to "gallery" , but I just want it to go to "clipboard" instead . how can I do this ?

Hey drgirishraheja, I do appreciate you looking into this and sharing all great suggestions!! thank you!
unfortunately none of this has solved the particular issue I am after . See, if you take a screenshot or "smart select" a portion of screen it is not even going to clipboard ....it only goes to "gallery" . Had it gone to the "clipboard" I would have been able to do a simple paste where ever appropriate . the image only gets "saved" in "gallery" . I am exploring ways to have a screenshot (or a selected portion of it) getting buffered in clipboard allowing me to paste directly ,instead of needing to "attach" it.
I remember this functionality was there in galaxy s5 where a screenshot got buffered in clipboard ....somehow in note8 it's not there despite having a Spen. :(

Thank you for your query. The relevant department may serve you better/speedily, if you can provide logs/video by registering this feedback in Error Section (Samsung Members App -> Feedback -> Questions/Errors -> Create -> Error reports).

Samsung confirmed that this feature is not available. Quite unfortunate as this feature was available in my galaxy S5
