navigation bar improvement.
the Samsung navigation bar is a disaster. seriously. people are complaining everywhere and dedicated threads at XDA proves it. or Google search for "hide navigation bar on note 8" s8 or s8+ for that matter is also same.
Android 9 update is in the works as per Sammy page. and I would like the hardworking developers at Samsung to consider adding functionality to the nav bar.
the device comes with a boasting infinity display. but the navigation bar, which u can hide but have to swipe up in apps if hidden or the fact that a huge area under the keyboard remains bottom bezel as large as a Xiaomi note is fugly. this distracts while using swipe up gestures in other launchers like nova as well.
as per feedback from different forums- the users would like to have the ability to hide the bar completely and with Android 9 gestures control, I don't think the nav bar will be in much of a use.
I am currently using XDA app gesture controls to use as daily driver. the screen ratio is beautiful. I can get full access to the apps without a white bar at the bottom..
guys, if u can't change it, atleast have the navigation bar transparent. I think its a pretty basic design thing to implement given that u don't support even a black bar. the Samsung themes cover this but not in app apps and not with keyboard out.
I am not a fan of substratum. my device is full stock and unrooted firmware. Samsung devices have less to do even after root. so no point in rooting.
