It's Very long time to using Samsung's note series smartphone phone, a decade will will cross with Samsung flagship phones.
Note 10.1, galaxy s4, note edge then note 8.
My major disappointment was software update, barely i was receiving latest update and Samsung is still continued with not giving software updates trend.
Recently Samsung announced a list of smartphones who's will receive UI 2.0 update and Samsung included budget phones but not included only 2 generation old Note 8 that was flagship and costly.
It means we don't need to buy a flagship phone when a normal budget phone will give same experience.
Instead of all actually we don't want to buy a Samsung's flagship phone because it will stop to give you new experience via software update 2 yr later.
Very bad for customers like us and bad to Samsung because now we are looking at apple's iPhone that will receive new updates even a decade later.
according to Samsung update policy only 2 major software updates are given to the phone wether it's a costly or cheap one that doesn't matter their policy is important for them!
Samsung in general provides 2 major os upadtes. So untill sam changes it's policy phones will recieve 2 upadtes regardless of their price/ category. In case of apple they make their os as well as hardware but when you come to android this is not applicable. Mostly there are compatibility issues Although flagships can handle heavy loads but that doesn't make them eligible to get the updates. Apple makes limited devices in a yr while android manufacturers flood the markets with new ph every now n thn. So it's quite complicated to back a phone for longer terms. Aslo brands want their customers to go for their new devices so that they can make money out of it.
in the world of freedom and smartphone competition, why we are bound get only 2 update as company policy say... break the chain... no more restrictions from company
