Unable to update android version

I bought the phone from a different country and I live in a different country. The software doesn't update as it shows that the latest software is installed. It's running on 8.1.0.

How do I get latest software inatalled

What is your model? Regardless the country you are if the time comes it will updated. For example I had S22 European, I am in Gurgaon and when the European phones got the update the same happened to me.

I have note 9 and I bought the phone in Europe and I live in Bangalore

Samsung is not rolling out any updates for galaxy note 9, as well as security patch. This device is older than 4 years now. Also no updates will be available in the future.

I think the current version of android is 11 but I have 8.1 doesn't seem it's still not released
