The phone is only 1 month old and I see scratches on it. The phone is very carefully handled and kept in pockets without anything in it. I have previously used Note 8 with same handling and I have never saw a single scratch .
using s9 but no scratches you should be using the flip case to protect it If you are not fond of flip case then please avoid sands and your screen attracts sands then gently blow to sand away I have been doing since month I put my s9 in water for 2-3 min until the dust rests in the water the gently remove water from it if sand attracts then I gently blow on screen
