Rooting will trip Knox and then you will not be able to use most of the Samsung apps, including Samsung pay and S health. Other than that, there is nothing to worry about, as long as you don't mess up with something.

No, but rooting will make your phone more vulnerable to malware, just be careful about what you install. I have never encountered any virus or malware in any of my previous rooted phones.
