Recently I have updated my note 8 to Oreo and I have not found any special changes. Just I am not able to see my notification on lock screen ealier I can check my notification without unlocking the device. is there any settings which I am missing or this is the OREO change.
Thank you for reaching out to the Samsung community! To get the notification on the lock screen navigate to settings>>lock screen and security>>notification>>enable. Below are the changes in Note 8 with the Oreo OS.
* Notification: •Notification categories (channels) allow users to create a user-customizable channel for each type of notification they want to display. •Status bar icons are smoothly connected to Notification. •Badge with number: Concept has been changed according to the Oreo OS concept. •Dot-style badge and notification preview types are newly added in Oreo OS. •Users can easily clear badges on app icons by dismissing the corresponding notifications.
* Samsung keyboard: •A toolbar is added to access various functions easily. •Moving GIF contents can be inserted in input field. •New Emoji set (5.0) has been added.
* Edge lighting: • 1 basic effect + 3 new effects have been added to edge lighting • You can change the effect from Settings> Display> Edge screen> Edge lighting > Edge lighting style → Change Effect.
