Note 9 comparable to S10?

I have seen videos where people are comparing note 9 quality with S10, is this right? I mean shouldn't it be compared to S9 instead?

I don't understand why do even people want to compare things ..right , like seriously these are different phones with their own pros and cons comparing just makes it more difficult for people to make a choice.
