My screen becomes faded sometimes or i think icons look faded. and next time when i wake up my phone it looks ok. What might be the reason?

1) Navigate to Settings >> Apps >> Press on three dots >> Reset App Preferences.
2) Run your device in Safe Mode to check the issue.
3) Keep updating the device if any available.
4) Take full data back up and reset the device.

Your auto brightness might be enabling max brightness either due to ambient light intensity or because of the light from the infrared LED reflecting off of something onto the light sensor
