Guys,
My note 5 heating after the recent december update. Im just browsing the internet through wifi, but its getting hot. Before the update, there was no such issue. How about you guys?

Thanks for being with Samsung and for sharing your concern. We would like to inform you that there could be many reasons for the device heating issues like installing any third party application (e.g. Antivirus, Call recorder, clean master, battery booster, battery saver etc).
If in case you are facing heating issues with your smart-phone while talking, charging, playing android games or browsing internet on 3G or 4G LTE networks.
Here are some reasons and solutions to overcome heating issues in your Samsung device:

• Applications like GPS, media or data dependent apps require more energy to function, causing device to be warmer than normal.
• Disable unwanted Functions like Bluetooth & Location Settings.
• Limit the usage of 4G and 3G Data for longer duration can cause heating issue.
• Too Many processes (Apps) running at same time.
• Missing Software Updates on your device.
• Old battery or Non genuine battery usage.
• Too Many Apps Installed on device.
• Long duration of Graphics intensive Gaming sessions.
• Usage of Smartphone when Charging.
• Thinness of the device, faster processor might also result in device getting warm, while this is normal.
• If the heating is very high, we would advise you to get the software of the device updated to the latest version.
• A Factory reset can also be performed after taking the data backup of the device.

NOTE: If abnormal heating continues, then kindly visit the nearest Samsung authorized Service Center.

In case, the issue still persists in your device, we request you to share device log files using error report option via Samsung member application i.e. Samsung member app> feedback>question /error > attach log file.

Note: For better assistance, please send device log files within 15 minutes of issue occurrence along with the exact issue details.
