It’s been a long-time tradition: Samsung has launched a new Galaxy S flagship at the beginning of the year and a new Note flagship in the second half of a year for almost a decade. It was only last year that Samsung finally stopped doing so. The Galaxy Note Series has now been merged into the Galaxy S Series, while the second half of the year is now dedicated to Samsung’s Foldable Phones.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are coming in the second half of 2022, and I’ve just realized that this means the rest of 2022 is going to be boring 🥱

The launch of a new Galaxy Note smartphone has always been exciting😃 primarily because Samsung has often fixed issues with the Galaxy S Series from that year and new S Pen tricks with each new Note. But this year just like the last, we’re going to get two new Foldables instead, none of which are likely to be as perfectly high-end as a Galaxy Note would have been.

It doesn’t seem like Samsung is going to be able to put the S Pen inside the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the Z Fold 4’s camera system is not going to be as high-end as you would get from a Galaxy Note 22 Ultra. Yes, I know the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the new Note 22 Ultra in all but name and we can just buy that, but that doesn’t mean the lack of an actual Note 22 Ultra won’t be disappointing for many users.

It seems the company’s foldables are doing great but I would have loved😍 to see a proper Galaxy Note in all it's glory once again.
