My note 10 plus fingerprint was fine until one UI 2.0 update after the update my fingerprint sensor always gets activated in my pocket resulting in "maximum number of tries reached use pin" whenever I take my phone out of pocket, I did some research and found double tap to wake gesture will case this issue so I turned it off but the problem still exists I also check whether my proximity sensor is working and found its working fine with phone calls
We would suggest you to kindly enable the accidental touch protection option in the device in order to resolve the issue. Please follow the below mentioned step to enable the accidental touch option in the device:
Go to settings>>display>>accidental touch protection>>enable it.
Same here on a note 10 lite. I often get "too many trials" (like 15) when getting the phone out of the pocket or some numbers in the emergency dialing menu. It makes hiking with the phone quite inconvenient.
Double tap etc. options don't solve the problem.
The only solutions I found were to disable the fingerprint completely, not put the phone in the pocket. I guess getting rid of the phone would work too (based on other phones, the fingerprint does not work that well anyways compared to dedicated sensors that are not below the screen).
Any other solution?

would it be too difficult to create a Pocket setting that would keep screen off until pushing the power button and letting us toggle it in the notification?
