it's a common problem in AKG. You are lucky that only volume is lower but in My wife's AKG, left side went completely off and had to send it to Samsung service centre for replacement. If your AKG is under 6 months of purchase then they will replace it, no questions asked. Here on this forum itself, there are many such instances posted. AKG quality is sheeet.
