Hey Guys!
First of all I would like to thank Samsung for making so much of innovation into smartphone space.
Have you ever been into situations like oh you forgot your laptop and it had some office related work which you need to complete. You had a big which was need to be solved but you totally forgot your laptop. Linux on DeX to the rescue using linux on your smartphone will be awesome.
Linux on DeX provides you full blown desktop experience on arm64. You can edit your presentation easily on the go and you can totally fix your bug on the go.
Prerequisites
1. Note 9 or Tab S4 for running Linux on DeX beta.
2. Wireless mouse and keyboard
3. Monitor or TV
4. DeX HDMI dongle preferred but you can use any other dongle as well
5. HDMI cable
Getting Started
1. Register yourself as beta tester at https://www.linuxondex.com. Use your Google play email id.
2. You will receive a link to download the app. Download it.
3. Open the LoD and you need to download the container image.

You can select already downloaded file but it is recommended that you download from the server for first time. The download is about 3.6GB.
4. After it is downloaded you need to unzip the downloaded zip file which can be found in folder named LoD.
5. Now at the same page browse for the unzipped file which should be a image and around 10 GB.
6. Assign space to the container I prefer more than 20 GB.
7. Create the image.
8. It should look like somewhat like this

You can run the terminal mode without DeX.
9. Connect to a monitor and run DeX.
10. Open the app and select the image created and click on run as shown in above screenshot.
11. The LoD will be looking something like this

Congratulations you have just started using Linux.
root password is secret.
You can also create a code file and run on it. I was able to find that it can preinstalled with intellij Idea, vscode and node although it should be preinstalled with Java and c/c binaries also.
Some screenshots

Hope this helps.
