July 2020 security patch corrupted my Galaxy Note8

Yesterday, I have received July 2020 security patch for my Note8 and I have installed the same. When the device is rebooted, I see lot of basic issues which made my Note8 not usable at all.

1. SIM Card is not detected by the device.

2. SIM Card Manager app is not launching.

3. IMEI number is not shown

4. None of the Samsung apps are working (Members, Galaxy Store etc.)

5. Software Update function fails with some unknown error.

 

I am planning to visit any service center since the issue is introduced by Samsung, the responsibility of resolving the issue also lies with Samsung. I am waiting for the resolution patch eagerly so that I can use my Note8. I hope Samsung will fix the issue and prevent such issues in the future.

same happened with me as well and i dont think samsung is in mood of getting it fixed quickly plus they should fire those people who are responsible for making such update. very disappointed.
