I have mentioned my problem in full details please help.

Hi I am facing a problem since I had 2 SIM card in my phone . I have Samsung galaxy Note 8 .

I have 2 SIM cards I.e
1. Airtel 4g/3g/2g
2. Reliance jio 4g LTE (only)

I am explain a situation,

I want to keep my jio SIM on, ie. On Lte network but don't want to use its data but airtel's data (I am good with 3g )

But when I change change the data to Airtel it compulsory changes the network to 4g and at the same time it changes the Jio SIM network to 2g/3g But jio SIM Does not support 2g/3g, only LTE4g so it gets offline I.e emergency calls only.

What I want is
Airtel SIM network should be 3g/2g with data thru airtel
And
Jio SIM network LTE 4g

Is it possible .. I believe it is, software developers can change this I believe.

Thank you

Waiting for revert

i also came across such situation, there is nothing we can do. Whether we put sim in primary or secondary slot, it will allot LTE network to sim which is set to use mobile data. So if you wanna use airtel network, jio sim will be deactivated irrespective of slot in which it was put in.

These sort of option was available in old Samsung phones during the era of 3G. If you change data to any sim it will not disturb 3G or 2G change.

Thank you for reaching out to the Samsung community! We would like to inform you that it is the default feature of the device as Internet will work in the SIM slot which have auto network mode(LTE/3G/2G). Other SIM slot will automatic change network mode to 2G. At a time only one SIM slot will be connected to the 4G network in the device.
