Got oreo on Note 8 Indian

I just updated my phone to oreo. it is an indian device which is not associated to any carrier and is fully unlocked version. Oreo is running preety smooth but in the home screen i am not getting any notification badges even though i have enabled it from the settings menu. please help if someone knows how to fix this.
