There’s little clarity about whether the Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.1 update is ever going to be released. As you’d expect, those who own the device are really looking forward to receiving the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom Android skin on their handset.
There have been some mixed signals from the moderators on Samsung’s official forums for Korea which has led to confusion about the update. The latest update from a moderator on the forums suggests that there’s still a possibility that One UI 2.1 may be released for the Galaxy Note 9.
One UI 2.1 update may eventually be released for the Galaxy Note 9
Naturally, a lot of Galaxy Note 9 owners have been asking questions about the possibility of this update being sent out over on the forums. A moderator from the software team has now pointed out they’re still in the process of figuring out which features can be added to One UI 2.1 for the Galaxy Note 9.
One UI 2.1 brings several best Galaxy S20 camera features like Single Take, Night Hyperlapse, Pro mode for video, etc to smartphones and the team is working to find out if the optimal performance for these features can be guaranteed on the Galaxy Note 9.
The moderator further adds that this review process is going to take time so it might be a while before we get to know for sure if One UI 2.1 for the Galaxy Note 9 is ever going to come out, adding that the team will do its best to provide a stable software experience on the Galaxy Note 9.
So while today’s update from the team doesn’t completely confirm that the Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.1 update is definitely going to be released, at least it gives some hope that the door is not yet closed on this possibility. However, given how often such statements can change, this is still far from a done deal.
