Freezing Galaxy Note 8

The flagship occasionally freezes and becomes completely unresponsive while using certain applications, namely-

1. Phone dialer
2. Microsoft excel
3. Chrome
4. Pokemon GO etc.

The only way to get it working again is the reboot. For most, this happens when opening the dialer or placing a call and using Microsoft excel as well pdf files.

The good news is Samsung says it has developed a software fix for this issue. It will roll out to phones over the next few weeks as an OTA update. The forum thread in US has expanded to five pages, so the issue is at least somewhat widespread. As US users are more aggressive and Samsung pays priotized attention to them, while India remains a neglected market.

Voice raised by Note 8 users at Samsung Members app in India is treated with standard reply from admin and the issue is never escalated to the top management.

I ask/ challenge my fellow Note 8 community to use this post to raise this issue to the maximum extent so that we as Indian are heard at a global level.

Freezing Note8 has emerged a major concern in India too...Hope we are noticed and given due importance by the Samsung Team as we step in New year 2018.

See Samsung has already responded to US and German forums very seriously (link pasted below for your reference), while Indian posts and comments are neglected. Why no attention and such a high discrimination?

Thanks for Being a part of Samsung community. We would like to inform you Kindly follow the steps below to resolve your concern :-
1) Navigate to apps >> Settings >> Apps >> Tap on three dots >> Reset app preferences.
2) Please run your device in safe mode.
3) Please do reset your device on factory mode after taking the data backup Via Smart switch.

If still issue persist, the relevant department may serve you better/speedily, if you can provide logs/video by registering this feedback in Error Section (Samsung Members App -> Feedback -> Questions/Errors -> Create -> Error reports).
