So in AndroidOS there is this feature called "Draw over other apps" or "System overlay" which fortunately does exist on Samsung's rom as well, but from what I have searched throughout the phone's settings, I could find a bunch of apps missing in that list.
So, what's the matter?
Well, as Indian user, we all have been a victim of the deceptive free stuffs from jio. You get free music, tv and cinema apps which provide free content but there's a catch - ADS.
While using the phone, jio users including myself have faced the issue of full screen apps popping up over other apps. Imagine a crucial game changing moment in PUBG and suddenly a full screen ad pops out of nowhere and messes up with you. This is a compromise that we'll have to make while agreeing to use these apps, but from a user's perspective, shouldn't we have the liberty to turn off these intrusive full screen ads?
For example, the jio music app, which offers free music, is unfortunately not listed in Samsung's "Apps that can appear on top" section in the settings, even though the said app doesn't refrain itself from showing ads. So, am I missing something? Does this occur to you and have you managed to fix it? Please share your thoughts below.
