Face unlock in Samsung Note 10 lite

I  purchased galaxy note 10 lite last month.  Finger print works normally. But face unlock does not work most of the times, despite trying in different lighting...success rate is  1 out of 5 attempts.  I have a doubt whether the protective glass fixed over the sensor prevents easy  face reading ? any clarification?

first check front camera
space if you have doubt,
2nd thing you can do is register again in good light conditions
