Generally Samsung Note phones have the biggest and the best displays on any phone and all the users will agree when i say that the phone is not a one hand device. Even though samsung offers one handed mode we there are some situations when we just want to have small actions within our reach on the bottom half of the screen. One of the most common task would be to open the notification panel.
My suggestion is derived from an implementation seen in many other android devices to add customizable shortcuts to double tap and long press on the navigation keys.
Double tapping on the multi task key will drop down the notification panel allowing user not to stretch to the top everytime to attend to notification.
Long press on the multitask key will open the camera.
Simarly all three buttons can be customised to have perform different action on long and double tap. That way users can have 6 shortcuts right at their finger tips.
