1. Battery Optimization Feature: Many modern smartphones have a feature that limits charging to preserve battery health. Samsung devices may have a "Protect Battery" setting, which caps charging at 80%. Check in the Battery Settings under Device Care for this option and toggle it off if it's enabled.

2. Battery Calibration Issue: Over time, the battery’s percentage indicator might become inaccurate. Try recalibrating the battery:

Fully drain your phone until it turns off.

Charge it to 100% without interruptions.

Use it again until it dies, then charge to 100% again. This can reset the battery’s calibration.

3. Faulty Charger or Cable: Sometimes, a faulty charger or USB cable can prevent proper charging. Try using a different charger or cable to see if that helps.

4. Background Apps or Overheating: If your phone is overheating or there are many apps running in the background, the charging speed may slow down or stop. Close unused apps or restart your phone, and ensure the device isn’t getting too hot while charging.

5. Software Bugs: A software bug might cause the battery to stop charging at a certain percentage. Make sure your phone’s software is up to date by checking in Settings > Software Update.

6. Battery or Hardware Problem: If none of the above solutions work, there might be a hardware issue with the battery or charging port. In this case, you might need to take the phone to a service center for inspection or repair.
