Samsung phones charges slow when screen is on and due to excessive heat generation by games.

Mobile reduce charging speed at high temperature. In your case due to gaming.

Samsung devices will not fast charge when device is in use until you lock the device.
samsung added this as a extra safety feature so that battery won't explode of extra load.
fast charging will make your battery overheat and on top of it if you keep your cpu/gpu on heavy load which will again overheat your battery and may explode. or may not explode or completely shutdown.

so if you want fast charging stop using your mobile while fast charging.

samsung fast charging works better when the device is powered off ( or) shut down.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

Please perform the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:

1. Avoid usage of mobile phone during charging, Usage of the mobile phone when charging may cause slow charging issue.

2. Close background running apps, if there are any unnecessary apps running in the background as too many applications running in background may consume more battery.

3. On the home screen swipe down the notification panel, Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features when not using them.

4. Check charging, if rating is 15W or above. Kindly try to charge the device in a non-inverter socket.

Note: Kindly open Device care from Settings > Battery > Please tap on 3 dots(more option) at the top right hand side > please select settings > enable fast cable charging.
