battery charging very slowly after 80%

Some times I wonder if the battery has stopped charging after 80%. It takes extremely high amount of time to charge 1% after attaining 80%. Need help. Model is M20

This is usually because of software. You can try calibrating your battery by discharging it to 0 and charging to 100% keeping it turned off.

I did it but no change. it stopped at 76% and I also failed *#0228# and quick started the fuel gauge but still no change

Can you also check once in safe mode? This would make sure that this isn't because of a software. If this doesn't solve, you would have to get it checked from a service centre.

i checked it in safe mode. The problem persists. It wouldn't go over 81%. it kind of discharged back to 79% while being charged.

It then seems to be a problem with the battery. You'll have to visit the service center for the same. To be double sure, you can try a factory reset?

Follow the bellow  steps to resolve your issue:-

1. We always recommend to use genuine Samsung charger for charging your device.
2. Check physical condition of USB cable, if any tear or bent please replace it with the new genuine one.

3. Check device in safe mode: Press and hold the Power key, when Power off icon appears > Press and hold the power off icon.
Exit safe mode: Hold the power button and select restart on the screen.
4. Update your software: Settings >Software update >Download and install (If software update available) > Download > Install now.
5. Reset the device : Apps screen > Settings > General Management > Reset.
Note: Please take backup of the date before resetting the device.
