Txt files are asking me to open with ms word, Google doc, html page and in browser. Where is the default notepad? Why doesn't it open on Samsung notes? No option of Samsung note to open with.

That's because there IS no default app provided for editing and opening text files on Android. Such simple features also these smartphone companies can't provide. We have to waste our time (as I did) in searching painstakingly for an ideal text editing app and once we do, we have to waste our money in paying for it.

When we buy the smartphone/tablet itself, we have to keep in mind that the actual functional cost of the device is higher than what we pay for while buying, as we may have to buy many apps to provide basic functionalities.
