Galaxy MAndroid 15 DP1 introduces File Integrity Manager and as per the information of Tarun Vats, we can also expect Samsung to bring this useful feature with One UI 7 for Galaxy devices. Notably, this feature utilizes fs-verity to prevent unauthorized file modifications or malware attacks.
File integrity monitoring refers to a security process and technology that tests and checks operating system, database, and application software files to determine whether have been tampered with or corrupted. It verifies and validates files by comparing the latest versions to a known, trusted baseline.
Therefore, if FIM detects that files have been altered, updated, or compromised, the technology can generate alerts to ensure further investigation, and if necessary, remediation takes place. File integrity monitoring encompasses both reactive auditing as well as proactive, rules-based active monitoring.
However, if Samsung includes this File Integrity in its upcoming version of Android custom skin, then your precious data will become safer than ever. Users will also be able to use their applications without the fear of data loss or safety-related assaults.
