Samsung Galaxy M51 still on 1st December 2021 security update

Hi, has anyone in India got any new security update for the M51 smartphone yet ? Mine is still on 1st December 2021 (as of 29-Apr-2022). Also, is this phone scheduled to get the Android 12 update anytime soon ?

M51 OneUI 4.1 rollout started in Russia, expect it to reach in India next month (within 2-3 weeks)

Yes, have read some other posts on this forum which claim that M51 will get Android 12 update around June 2022. But OS & security updates seem to be rolled-out at different timelines for different regions. Don't see why security updates should be clubbed with OS updates !

It's called Work hours saving(= money saving for samsung). Rule of the thumb: more age the device gets, less resources the device gets from OEM.

Samsung is not very prompt/ keen in updating Samsung M series devices.
