With Samsung's M-series launch in India just a few days away, you can expect to see some leaks and images of what the Galaxy M10 and M20 are going to bring to the affordable segment in terms of hardware, and what they will look like. Last week, sources close to India Today Tech revealed the prices of both the phones, claiming that the M10 will start at Rs 8,990 and the M20 will cost Rs 12,990. Now, a tipster has posted a live image of the Galaxy M20 from the back that all but confirms the design language.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal, in collaboration with MySmartPrice, posted a live image of the Galaxy M20, revealing the rear panel in all its glossy glory. The panel is reflective, but it is hard to confirm whether it is glass or plastic as of now. The design of the Galaxy M20 and M10 are almost similar, claims Ishan. The biggest difference is that the Galaxy M20 will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the Galaxy M10 will have no fingerprint sensor whatsoever. This means that the Galaxy M10 will likely offer face unlock as the only biometric option. Both the Galaxy M10 and M20 will, however, come with dual cameras on the back.

That's pretty much all we get from the latest live image. Samsung has already confirmed through promo images that the first set of Galaxy M phones will come with water drop screens, which would be a first from the company. The Galaxy M10 and M20 will employ the company's new Infinity-U display going by the shape of the notch in the teasers. Given that these are affordable phones, Samsung will be going with LCD panels rather than AMOLED.

Both the Galaxy M10 and M20 phones will also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Interestingly, while the promo material on Amazon India, which is the exclusive online partner for the M-series, suggested a Type-C port, it seems the Galaxy M10 and M20 will come with micro USB ports. So it seems the rumoured Galaxy M30, which is scheduled to launch at a later date, will be the only one to come with a Type-C port. The Galaxy M20 is also tipped to be the first Samsung phone to house a large 5,000mAh battery. The M10, on the other hand, will likely get a 3,400mAh battery.

The Galaxy M-series is going to be an important one for Samsung as the company looks to do away with the Galaxy J and Galaxy On lines. The newly minted Galaxy M line will aim to offer new features to help the phones compete against the likes of Redmi, Realme and Nokia in the affordable segment. Samsung will announce the Galaxy M10 and M20 in India on January 28
