Does anything happen to the phone/battery if I keep the phone for charging overnight ? 

PS. I have Galaxy M31 btw. I heard it's nothing to worry about but still wanna assure that...

Although nothing serious may happen.But in long term it is not good for the phones battery life.Even I'm using the same phone and in user manual I read that there is no mechanism in the charger which stops charging once battery is full.So my suggestion is that it is better to avoid overnight charging

Hey we can do it with ease ☺️ i do that, Just make sure that you disable FAST CHARGING OPTION in DEVICE CARE~BATTERY~CHARGING.
