M51 camera pro mode has limited as 10 seconds sutter speed setting and not enough for capturing star trails. Disappointed.

Yaa I will not say it's completely safe... but these are very well known application...like there are 2-3 devlopers who makes gcam port to work with different Snapdragon chips and they have their own portal where you can comment and report them....if anything suspicious is found....but I am not guaranteeing anything ...you should install it at your own risk....I have been using it in my previous phone from 2 years and now in my new phone also I have installed it....it works well

Try deepsky camera from playstore..for m series you can go beyond 30sec..I use the m51 with that application from playstore.
now I can open shutter till 72sec✌️

No pls don't take risk, I have faced many issues using Gcam in my old device. It may work fine with some random mobile about we can't be so confident on that.
