Galaxy M
The display on the Galaxy M10 comes in at 6.22 inches with a resolution of 1,520 x 720. That's a little smaller and lower resolution than the Galaxy M20, which boasts a 6.30-inch display and a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080. On the back, you will find a dual-sensor camera, along with a fingerprint sensor
DESIGN AND DISPLAY Perhaps the most notable thing about the two new phones is their design, thanks to the Infinity-V display. The display on the phones is almost edge-to-edge, though you might note a small chin at the bottom. It’s not huge, but it’s not tiny either. The front-facing camera in the device can be used for Face Unlock features. The display on the Galaxy M10 comes in at 6.22 inches with a resolution of 1,520 x 720. On the back, you will find a dual-sensor camera, along with a fingerprint sensor. They’re not bad-looking phones, and while they are a little chunky in some parts, they still look nice and modern. SPECS Perhaps the main difference between the two phones is their specs. Both phones come with a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, but the Galaxy M10 has 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM while the M20 has 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. There’s also a difference in battery — while the Galaxy M10 has a battery capacity of 3,400mAh, the Galaxy M20 steps things up to 5,000mAh. The cameras on the phones are also pretty similar. Both phones offer a dual-sensor camera with one 13-megapixel sensor and one 5-megapixel sensor, while the front-facing camera on the Galaxy M10 comes in at 5 megapixels and the Galaxy M20 comes in at 8 megapixels. PRICE AND AVAILABILITY Unfortunately, the two phones are currently only available in India, and we don’t expect that to change any time soon. In India, the Galaxy M10 starts at 7,990 Rupees (around $112), while the Galaxy M20 comes in at 10,990 Rupees (around $155). They’ll be available at Amazon or Samsung’s online store, and come in ocean blue or charcoal black. It makes sense that Samsung would be focusing more on India. According to Counterpoint, Xiaomi overtook Samsung in market share in India during the fourth quarter of 2017, and in the third quarter of 2018, Xiaomi had a 5 percent lead over Samsung. Updated on January 28, 2019: The Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 are here.
