you must know that these update are provided by google directly but Sasmsung must check it before release to your phone.

It is a little hard to explain.
On the paper, Google play system updates are totally separated from monthly security patches.
but in reality, due to huge amount of changes that each brand applies on Android (not only UI) , it is needed to check before release to your phone.
It is very easy in comparison with monthly security patches adoption.
Anyway, you get it every month, but with a little delay.
