Yes .
Samsung assured it's users that they will provide 2 year OS updates & 4 years security updates.

As m42 released in 2021 it will get OS updates for 2 years i.e, upto android 13.

Yeah both phone features looks almost identical.

But a42 will get android 12 as the last OS update. Meanwhile m42 will get Android 13 as last OS update.
