Galaxy M1. Overheating during simple tasks (like downloading or using mobile data).
2. Automatic switching from 5G to 4G when the phone gets hot.
3. Interrupted downloads or mobile data resets when this happens.
Why This Happens:
Thermal management: When the phone gets too hot, it automatically disables or downgrades some features to cool down — like switching from 5G to 4G.
5G uses more power and generates more heat than 4G, especially during large downloads or when the signal is weak.
Software bugs or background apps can also cause unnecessary heating and data drops.
What You Can Do to Fix or Reduce It:
1. Keep the phone cool
Remove the phone case during heavy downloads.
Avoid using while charging.
Turn off Bluetooth, GPS, and background apps.
2. Optimize battery and performance settings
Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery > More battery settings
Enable "Enhanced processing" only when needed.
Use "Power saving mode" with background limits during idle time.
3. Force 5G connection (optional)
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode
Set it to 5G/LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) — but if overheating continues, switch back to LTE only temporarily.
4. Use Samsung’s Game Booster or Download Booster (if available)
These can help with large downloads, but check under Advanced features or Settings > Connections.
5. Update your phone
Make sure your software and apps are up to date, as Samsung regularly fixes performance bugs.
If the issue still persists even after updates and care, it's best to:
Visit a Samsung Service Center — there may be a hardware or sensor issue.
