i have 2 more J7 max , installed with the same applications. but contacts are not merging in these two.

Thanks for reaching out to the Samsung support communities! We would like to inform you that the contacts issue is due to the whatsapp. Kindly follow the below steps to overcome the issue:
- Uninstall and re install the whatsapp.
- Navigate to contacts>>3 dot>>settings>>contacts to display>>custom contacts>>uncheck the whatsapp.
- Don’t use “Merge Contacts” option from Contact Settings.
- Kindly check for the device software update.
