Hello friends I have Samsung Galaxy j6 

Custom massage ringtone is so common and basic features which are present in every mobile but for what Samsung doesn't give it in j6

You can have your own custom ringtone as notification. Go to my file folder in Apps
Choose the location of the audio file. Press and hold on the audio file. Click on the three dots dosplayed on the top right corner.
Choose Copy/Move
Choose Device/Internal Storage.
Choose Notifications.
Choose Done. You have now made the file available as a notification sound.
From the home screen, choose Apps.
Choose Messages.
Click on the three dots on the top right side
Choose Settings.
Choose Notifications.
Choose Notification sound.
Choose the audio file which you have copied/ moved
Done
