Since Google Assistant was launched officially by Google, it was available only on flagship smartphones. Soon it became available in smartphones running on Android Nougat. After that Google made it available for Marshmallow devices. All smartphones running on Android Marshmallow got Google Assistant by enrolling in the Beta programs of Google app and Google Play services except the Samsung Galaxy J7 2015 which is still running on Android Marshmallow. If you want to use Google Assistant on this device you have to install an APK file of it.
Why does Google assistant not available officially on J7 2015 ?
We want Google Assistant to be supported officially on this device. Although we are also waiting for the Nougat update for this device.
