Recently I successfully used 80GB HP Pocket Media External Hard Disk drive for transfering file from J7 Prime through OTG connector.

Users can try the same.

But I want to know what is maximum size of drive I can connect?

Thanks for part of Samsung community. We would like to inform you, Size storage supported is 2TB but it’s recommended to use Samsung genuine OTG cable.

Your device should have OTG connectivity. Pl. check specification of your device.
Then connect OTG cable to MicroUSB port and connect hard disk to this cable.
It may require to Formate your HD on first attempt
Don't forget to Unmount before removing hard disk.
You are done.

Your HD should be external hard disk working with USB port only. Desk Top hard disk will not work as it requrire power.
