Whatsapp images in gallery

The pictures and videos of whatsapp from gallery are not showing. They are showing in Google photos but not in gallery. This issue is coming after I updated my phone yesterday (19 march) when software update was shown. 

Please rectify this.

Issue is there in many more phones too we are having no solution but to use Google photos for now
